Homosexuality no longer a sin
RE: Homosexuality no longer a sin
He's saying that because it's what the bible says should be done.

RE: Homosexuality no longer a sin
I wish that every christian would side with the laws of this country over their dusty old magic book..just like GC.   Rolleyes
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Of course you do, you surely wouldn't pick and choose, would you?

Did I say that, why no, you are the one who wants to insinuate I would. Where did you learn your reading comprehension, Wal-mart most likely. Did you even read the last sentence of my reply, no that would have left you without a way to criticize. Grow up little one.

GC

Then you're not a Biblical literalist.

You wanted to make me angry with your reply, but I just had a good laugh. Thanks for that.
I thought it would be obvious that I didn't really think you'd want homosexuals killed.
Perhaps I should have worded that better. My apologies for the insinuation.
Now, can you please answer the last part of the question?
Do you pick and choose when it comes to the scriptures?

By the way, there's no Walmarts here in Australia. :-)

Did not know you were from Australia, sorry. I wasn't trying to make you mad, I wanted you to see that I never made such a statement as that and yes you should have made your intention clear. Apology accepted. No I do not pick and choose from the scriptures, why should I they all hold truth and to deny any truth would be a discredit to myself and an insult to God.

Yes I clearly am as defined in the Christian world, I do not live by the definition of a Christian from an atheist, you have no idea what Christianity is.

It says you should kill homosexuals in the Bible. Are you disputing that?

Umm, a lot of us are ex-xtians, so we do have a fairly good idea.
And some of us who are ex-xtians are more about wanting you to feel as good as we do about having discovered the truth and living a free life.
Not so much about calling you stupid and all that, mainly because we didn't think we were stupid when we were believers, just brain washed.

I was raised in a fundamentalist, evangelical Christian church for over 10 years; used to memorize whole books of the Bible at church camp.

Many have memorized much in the Bible but that doesn't make you a Christian and not being a Christian means you do not understand what it is to be a Christian. By the way and I think I've said this before, for someone who has memorized the Bible you sure do not us it in your arguments, could it be you are afraid of the effects it could have on you.
