Question to theists

RE: Question to theists
It;s almost as if he thinks that magic is patently ridiculous, or something................. Rolleyes
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What's the point of truth God offers?

What do you mean what is the point? Truth is truth lol. Shouldn't we all seek truth?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

For example, atheistic truth - "Death is better than depressing service to God". Or popular theistic truth about nature of God "Your God's property, the sooner you accept your destiny the better".

Define the truth you mentioned. What it states/means/demands?

I'll just say it again.  It;s true that kim jong il exists....that doesn;t make me swear my allegiance to him or live my life by his principles.

You mean minds like mine that are limited to truth and reason, unlike yours which is apparently filled with falsehood and all manner of unreason?  Either that, or you're just an egotistical twat who can't admit to being wrong.  Your God is a magical being by definition, and all your attempting to talk around that fact does is prove that you're a fucking moron.

I see you are upset by the term limited mind being applied to you, like they say if the shoe fits wear it and it seems to fit you perfectly. God has power which in your limited minds capacity see it as magic, and because I know Him and have been given some understanding as to who He is I see God as perfectly powerful. Tell me why should I admit I'm wrong about something I know to be completely true, you've not proven anything to the contrary and as far as walking around this subject, well I've come at it head on and shown that you are the one who is mistaken and frankly hateful toward Christians and their understanding of real truth. If you do not like the way things are change what you can and that will not be me.

Theists can only understand god to the extent anyone can perceive a writer's fictituous character.  An attempt to understand anything beyond the written word is mere fallible human interpretation augmented for mere emotional comfort.

Only an opinion have you, proof is with God, can you present any.

Outside the pages of the fictions known as "scriptures," gods don't actually do anything that violates the physical laws that govern reality.  Believers certainly can't call upon those powers to do anything that is technically impossible.  Sure, they can think the Holy Spook is guiding them; and sure, they can put on the god-mask in their imaginations and talk themselves out of bad situations; but that's as far as it goes.  No loved ones raised from the dead.  No healed amputations.  Just one more self-help book that occasionally inspires a life change.

You meant nothing you have noticed, right.
Why should we, we are not in the business of the impossible, that's God's domain.
The Holy Spirit does work in lives I've personally witnessed it and have personally experienced it. What bad situations would you be referring to? I can't raise the dead and I know of no Christians who has claimed they can, God will and each of His children will be perfect in body, spirit and mind.
God has healed amputees, everyone who has had a life threatening injury that ended in amputation and survived did so because God healed them. You want God to restore limbs, God is not in the business of restoring limbs, He is saving souls from an everlasting punishment called hell.
The Bible is a guide for those who have had a life change through the grace of God. The Bible was never written to be a self help book, it's always been a guide to our God, yes your's and mine.

GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

So your imaginary fiend can create universes but not regenerate limbs -- something that a lizard can do?

Guess it's too busy feeling smug listening to all those people screaming in hell.

Fuck you and fuck the make-believe Holy Spirit too.  My personal wish is that your life goes down in flames of your own making, so that you can experience a taste of the hell that you so blithely imagine for us.

All you've succeeded in doing is showing that your testimony isn't worth shit. You believe that you 'know' God because believing they know things they don't actually know is just something stupid people do. All you've done is undermine your own testimony.

Maybe that's why they cling to their hate, GC. It's all they have.

RE: Question to theists
^it's the old jealousy tale in the Torah, God accepts from the pious only and that causes people to be jealous and hate, and say "why don't you accept us".

And that is linked to their jealousy of the chosen ones, they don't accept them, and then hate us for the consequences.

I feel no hate.  I just want reason and evidence.  I wish a god was real.
