I lol'd

You know, earlier today, I went to the library to check out his book. I found a copy and the checkout machine refused to allow me to do it. After three times where it refused to allow me to do it, I set it aside.

On another note, I found this video with the Bible Reloaded guys reading the section of his book talking about friendship.

They come to a conclusion that kind of unnerves me, namely that Peterson himself may be on the autism spectrum, due to his evidently poor understanding of social interactions (and the fact that he evIdently counted all the dents on the inside and outside of a former friend’s car). I think it may need more research to confirm, but If he is, well, the forms of autism are legion, from People who can make contributions to physics comparable to Einstein to the severely mentally challenged kids Autism Speaks likes to unleash on the world to push their eugenical agenda, and everything in between, and this jackass being part of it probably shouldn’t surprise me. That said, I at least know my limitations. I’m painfully aware that I’m kind of crap at making friends (and a combination of my ASD and my really shitty childhood is probably to blame), but I know better than to try and teach a subject that I’m well aware I’d be out of my element talking about.

And, of course, when we get to the conservative broilerplate about how a lot of the time, people in trouble bring it upon themselves, the possibility that people who help others might be virtue signaling, and, of course, the trademark Jordan Peterson backtrack where he recognizes he’s said something outrageous, and then tries to soften the argument he just made so he can claim his haters are just taking him out of context and have some legitimate ground to stand on.

While I applaud Beavis and Butthead's attempt to improve their viewership by talking about someone important, they're out of their league when speculating on psychology. I would be extremely surprised to discover that either of these guys has more than a high school education.

And you’re not even going to address their counterarguments at all?

Ah Benny still defending his cult leader by saying all his critics are poo poo heads  and attacking their education . Maybe Peterson cultist like Benny should join up with the followers of Ayn Rand ans Alex Jones and they can form a super cult .They can call it "the church of  nobody but us understands what they" really said" but us "

Yeah, they also covered chapter 1, which is even more painful. I'm wondering if Benny has read the book. He may well be brilliant in other areas, I don't know. I've only sampled a small amount of his work so far. But he wrote this book, and it's an abomination. I've also watched him weasel his way out of answering theistic questions, and of course the "free speech" debacle. I find him disingenuous.

Like I said, I have the physical book as well, so if anyone wants to dispute what H&J are quoting I'm quite happy to confirm.

I'm not entirely sure whether Peterson really doesn't understand this stuff, or whether this is all an act for the purposes of the book, to cater to the target audience.

I've read 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos.

Nothing in it that you couldn't find in any other generic self-help book.

Oh i'm sure Benny will find a way to tell you you don't understand the cults holy texts or pope crustacean the first has already answered all you objections in a long ranty cluster duck of word salad .

Then  accuse H&J of quote mining even if they put a whole freaking paragraph up and then clarify what they meant when asked.

As for your second question it's an act a very bad act

Oh, IDK.  Petersons a smart guy and a gifted speaker...but I think that he probably has had too many sips of the koolaid.  It's not an act, lol. A real waste of talent.
