trying to leave Christianity permanently, please help
Hi, I'm new here, I'm 24 female and I was raised christian and then stopped believing and became atheist and that was too depressing for me at the time so then I was agnostic and researched a little into other religions and then got majorly into New Age, and then came back around to following christianity 3 months ago because New Age was mostly lies and I thought it was demonic and I missed how I felt when I was little and everything was easy and I could just trust in Jesus, except I had forgotten why I stopped believing in the first place and it's because I have mental disorders(bipolar II, borderline pd, depression, introversion) that made it impossible for me to be the good and perfect Christian I wanted to be. and now I'm back in the same position and it seems like God created me with no chance of being able to be good enough just to damn me. and I really really don't want to believe in Christianity. help please

Oh I will be honest though, I'm scared of the prophecies in Revelations about the Mark of the Beast because I can totally see how it could be an RFID chip and I know the possibility of a New World Order, One World Government is definitely the direction we're headed in and merging with technology and it freaks me out. I don't see it as being a good thing for humanity sorry to say and that might upset some people here but I don't trust giving that much power to the most power hungry of us humans. they unfortunately usually don't have benevolent intentions(think Psychopaths....high level psychopaths.....I don't trust the low level ones and definitely not the high level ones lol)

Welcome! Take your time getting used to the idea. You've xtianity pumped into you for a long time, but can see that it doesn't hold together on rational scrutiny. Take a deep breath and look around. It takes awhile to throw off all that conditioning.

Welcome.
I don't think you need to worry about believing or not believing in god. Instead, you may want to focus on getting Some help for your anxiety and such.

Welcome, DoubtingHerFaith.

I think you'll find much of what you're seeking here. We're no substitute for mental health professionals, though. Make sure your depression is adequately treated.

thx Smile yeah it might take a little while since I'm very sensitive and was born heavily indoctrinated with it, and the threat of eternal burning in a Lake of Fire.......but I am starting to see it fall apart. Jesus DID fulfil a lot of Old Testament prophecies though, which is one of the things I'm most hesitant about

lol thanks. I'm still working on that, medication hasn't been very successful on me. I do need to focus on the reason for existence though because it's always been important for me like as far as my values go, and can help with my anxiety but christianity definitely wasn't, it's worse now

No prob. I hope you find what you are looking for.
Can I ask why you think the reason for existence, given there is one, would be of importance for your values?

I really would love to believe this isn't a troll, but in my 18 years of being online on multiple websites, not just this website, this smacks of troll.

If you are not a troll, the best thing for you to do, is to consider that life isn't magic, and good and bad are not the result of Lex Luther vs Superman. It is possible to value good and do good without attaching those things to old mythology or fictional beings.

Welcome Woof.

Did he fulfill the prophecies or were the stories just written that way?

Revelations Schmevelations.

Medication alone is rarely the answer.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
