It's an amusing relationship. Their muckety mucks wish they had an oligarchy like ours, while our muckety mucks wish they were as free to engage in openly sanctioned corruption as theirs.
At least the american dream is still alive and while, even if it's in putins russia.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The thing about "the american dream" - you have to be asleep to believe in it.

Trump is backed by strong wings -especially the Oligarch wing-, that wing already has Putin and China in its pocket. The US does not sell weapons from its bases, particularly not nuclear weapons. You are mistaking the US for a banana republic, which it is not (yet).
The armament producing companies however do sell all kinda shit, and the gvernment is quite lenient with the rules of law (not to deliver to crisis regions, etc), because ....pecunia non olet.
Oligarchs dont control Putin, Putin controls Oligarchs, as evidenced by Putin taking away their money or imprisoning them after showcase trials.
The US doesn't sell nuclear weapons systems? So who did the UK buy it's Polaris and Trident systems from then?

It doesnt sell them"to the highest bidder". UK is a NATO ally, of course the US delivers armament to its allies. Its what countries do, and are allowed to. Atlass however claimed the US ARMED FORCES are selling weapons off their bases, which is nonsense and something COMPLETELY different from the US GOVERNMENT giving its allies weapony.

At the Soviet Mission to West Germany an American Major serving with the NATO garrison offered to sell a nuclear artillery shell to the GRU for "a substantial sum". The actual exchange took place a week after in a woodland.
The shell was then transferred to Moscow where the head of the GRU took it into his office. He then phoned the Central Committee to proudly announce he had possession.
The Central Committee almost sacked him on the spot as he hadn't thought to check whether there was a timer on the shell which was effectively next door to the Soviet government, He was ultimately given a 'Service Incompetence Note'.
The shell was then taken to Zemlya to be dismantled and studied.
It turned out to be a 'Standard Weight Equivalent' training shell repainted to pass as the real thing and stuffed with radioactive waste to convince the GRU officer with a geiger counter.
The head of the GRU was denied permission to send an assassin after the American Major.
