Yeah and I'm the queen of Sheba.  You're one of those guys who'd have been goose stepping right up until 08/05/1945 and afterwards denying that he was ever within a square mile of a Nazi.

There was a video where Biden said he wanted the republicans to retain some power, despite being nominally a democrat. Presumably so if he got elected, the friction with the republicans would give him an excuse to not actually get anything done.

I think there should be an impeachment. I just don't hold much hope that it will pass the senate, especially when the dem establishment has proven they don't know how to actually fight back.

No, it's more a case of Biden in his dotage is returning to the patterns of his youth, i.e. those of a 60's era white supremacist.  He believes he can work with the traitor party because like them, he's no fan of the negro.  But politics doesn't work like that any more, first the Democrat base will destroy him, and second the traitor party won't work with anyone.

As the Dems know there is realistcally no chance of ousting President Trump from office with impeachment - a letter of censure.would have the same result - a public rebuke of his actions - without wasting all the time they currently are.....

In fact - it would probably have more of an impact.

Short - quick - to the point.

Edit to add --- and MUCH more likely to get some ( R ) support.

I should point out that two resolutions of censure regarding Trump (first about his equivocating in the aftermath of Charlottesville and second after he talked about "shithole countries.") Neither one got anywhere. Meanwhile, this one is actually on the way to getting articles of impeachment passed. So, this is false.

It's likely that nothing positive will come from the impeachment proceedings. I agree that the Democratic party is still butt-hurt that Hillary lost, but what Trump has done is impeachable. It simply is. Whatever the motivations, I think impeachment is justified - my main concern is that it will backfire on the Democrats and people will come out in droves to vote for the moron just because he was "wrongly accused," in their eyes.

Yup. The house had a moral duty to bring charges against him - regardless of the certainty that the Senate will acquit him. You can't just sit there and ignore the fact that the executive branch is engaged in a crime spree. You just can't. Inaction would invite more of the same from this administration as well as future ones.

What Trump is doing MUST be opposed if our government is to have any legitimacy at all. Ignoring it would push us further and further toward becoming a banana republic which the rest of the world will not take seriously.

No it won't .His crimes need to be exposed the way they are a letter won't cut it .Thus it's not a waste of time .

RE: The Ego of Impeachment
Once again, the Dems already tried to censure Trump. Three times. They died in the House the first two times, and the third one is languishing because Trump kept doing stupid and illegal shit that wound up being worse than telling four congresswomen to go back where they came from.

So tell me - why are the Dems going through with an impeachment that has virtually zero chance of passing the GOP majority Senate?

You are a fool if you expect anything other than a party line vote.

The ONLY reason I can see for this monumentally wasted effort is that the Dem leadership is so egotistical that they actually believe they can convince GOP members of Congress to join their holy crusade.

Is President Trump a clownish, immoral huckster that is a better suited for a circus midway rather than the White House?

Absolutely.

But-

There are more productive ways to prove a point.
