I don’t. Some Scottish ancestry by way of King Duncan, but no Irish.

I'd be surprised. Is that based on sequencing or family folklore?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

More years of genealogical research, using ancestry.com. Admittedly, it is more Clan Duncan. The connection to King Duncan does seem a natural connection to mAke.

I think ShellB has your best solution. Personally, based on what I see, I'd rather remain where I am. I'd likely end up in a more redneck place than I already reside in, and a nice choice for me like Australia (which is currently on fire, like California will be in about 6 months) or New Zealand would take a vast chunk of my precious capital, since I am retired. I have no disabilities beyond being terminally smart-ass, so there's that.

Point blank: Moving overseas anywhere doesn't seem like a particularly realistic solution if you don't have any savings and/or clear means of immediate employment.

You might want to consider heading back down South. I've read that Charlotte, NC rates pretty high as far as employment and services for the visually impaired go.

And plenty of Blacks folks seem keen on flocking there--Affordable housing and good opportunity for Black investment, entrepreneurship, and general wealth-building there in comparison to most places in the U.S., allegedly.
Last I heard, anyway.

Might be worth looking into, I reckon.

Duncan's ancestors were Irish.

I know the federal government isn't all that great, but there is a lot to be said about the varying cultures from state to state. Massachusetts, for example, isn't likely to be a problem for a disabled minority. We also have Romney care.
