We don’t ban people for saying outrageous things or things we disagree with or the manner in which those things are said. We only ban people for serious or repeated infractions of the Rules.

We don't ban people for being shitheads unless they break the rules. That's the way it is, and the way it will stay. We always have the choice to ignore, educate or castigate people with disgusting points of view. Silencing their stupid opinions won't change a damn thing. It's such a useful rationalization. When we feel like people are shits, we can refer to it for some good sweet schadenfreude. If we feel well off, we can refer to god having noticed our strong religious character.

The really sexy combo is when our own self loathing makes us the target of the former, mitigated only by the latter.
