Again, you're describing the content of their imagination, -which, we agree, doesn't say much about reality- instead of the tendency. Children are a more honest version of ourselves, stripped of any cultural or ideological influence, at the same time we observe that they invariably assign big phenomena to big creators -be it a giant unicorn, pixies, or something similar- and/or give them purpose. 

You have some silly beliefs about children's honesty too, it seems.  It honestly doesn't matter.  We both exclude whatever it is children are imagining, and whatever it is they're just telling stories about.  That includes any and all purpose, as well as any and all gods, that aren't there, or that are made up.

All that concerns us, is the hypothetical portion of what they see that is there, that they are genuinely reporting, when they ascribe purpose to natural phenomena.  This is the tendency you wanted explained, this is what you claimed was an indication of some god.  As you've seen over and over, it isn't.

If you claim you can conceive of an afterlife without an all powerful being, they you can at least conceive of a rudimentary scenario of godless ressurection.

Asking me what I think about these things is pointless.  I don't believe in gods or in afterlives, so I don't think anything is going to do that....and I'll note that in that world, children still ascribe purpose to natural phenomena.  It's an irrelevant item to the initial question, but shows your bizarre laziness and incuriosity.  Go ask the worlds many buddhists and hindus and new age whatsits about afterlives not dependent on gods.  

Meanwhile. Here is my logical argument against any possiblity of afterlife absent a god:

1- An afterlife requires supernatural intervention. For natural intervention cannot bring back the dead, or even cure all diseases of the living.
2- Absent a god, there is no supernatural intervention.
3- Therefore, if there is no god, there is no afterlife.

It's not only conceivable that natural intervention can bring back the dead and cure disease ..it's been done.  Suppose that your first premise weren't laughably incompetent and false, though? Maybe a genie does it.  Satisfies premise one and demonstrates the error of premise two.

Here's the thing..though, so what if there's no afterlife? That would be bad? Bad things can be true things.

The god purpose motivated many people to work for the exact causes you mentioned -preventing famine, genocides, rape, etc. Absent the god purpose, all other purposes are equally appealing.

On a sidenote, if someone tells you he finds purpose in favoring white people over black people, what makes his purpose less valuable than yours ?

Nothing, just ask him.  If the metric is finding purpose, finding purpose through gods, goodness, or racism are all..equally, finding purpose.  You think that some purposes are better than others...sure, and so does everyone else.  The trouble here is that you multiply the amount of purpose in the world (and by a large set of purpose you don't accept for one reason or another).

We suddenly find ourselves in a world chock full of purpose, so we shouldn't be surprised to find that children see it.

Theists need to shut their pie holes, because that of which they speak is not of any reality but rather a concept they imagine is real via fallible faith.

People are entirely too easily manipulated by religious concepts. History shows this, especially lately where we can show new religions being created by man and people following those religions as though it contains the truth. Christianity started the same way, and we of stronger mentalities are still in the same boat waiting for the evidence that simply isn't available.

Religious apologists are not doing anything except demonstrating to the rest of us just how ignorant they are. Once this realization sets in, debating them somewhat becomes pointless. Oh, don't get me wrong, there is the rare moment I still step in and state something, but essentially I realize they are beyond intellectual redemption.

Poor consciences, for that I weep.

Maybe its not ignorance but its ignorance on your part there are lots of intelligent religionists out there. If you want to hear directly from God then you need to study His word.
