Is there free will in Heaven?

Isn't that the same as sin? Opposition to the will of God.

Is there sin in Heaven?

I don't believe that the idea of Heaven and Hell makes sense. Most notably regarding the problem of choice and identity.

If you no longer have the option to choose things that are wrong, to make mistakes, or to challenge/disobey God, are you even the same person?

Who cares about any of that? According to Mark Twain, there's no sex in Heaven---and that goes on FOREVER. You also can't get a cigar or a glass of whiskey there. Who'd want to go to Heaven in the first place?  Huh

That is a very poetic way of thinking of it. Maybe that's the secret? All along, Christians have been alluding to the death of oblivion and nothingness through metaphor.

"Praising God forever and ever and ever and ever" = there is nothing. It's just a black void.

You Christians can't trick me with your frilly words. I know what you're really about. Wink

The subsummation or oblivion of personal will is a very present and recurring theme in mythology, and increasingly so in the east and near east. You might even call it a central theme.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

In order for you to know that you have more meaning, joy, and contentment than me you’d have to have some method for knowing how much I have in the first place, otherwise you have nothing to compare your own against.
You obviously can’t know that because you aren’t me, which means you’re just being a dismissive, pretentious, narcissistic douche.

...or your not the unique snow flake that you think you are and 'we' can see the joy and happiness the world has to offer and we know these limits you enjoy because we at some point have also experienced these limits. and then have experienced how much more God has to offer..

in truth it is you who can't say 'we' experience a higher level of joy and contentment. Wink

We all pray for God will be done, as his will is righteous and will free from righteousness is evil.

In other words, in heaven you are dead.

in heaven those who live in the flesh are indeed dead.. which is why i use a zombie analogy as to why God separates the living from the dead.

Is that why you think you use a zombie analogy to refer to all people other than your own fellow cultists?

I doubt it, but you do you. I've got a little thought experiment for you to consider. Now, we all hear about the praising god and doing gods will, and you've already staked out that whatever gods will is just is good, period, and you seem not to have an issue with any of that.

Wonderful, so, let's say it's a tuesday an eternity from now, and god decides he'd like to watch all of his human subjects get going with a bunch of fellatio. Males to males, females to females. How's that tuesday going to play out for you?

Sorry. I was bored to tears and promptly fell asleep at the word “snowflake.” It’s been like, five years, bro. Time for a new vapid and ineffective insult. This one is plaaaaaaayed out.

Maybe that explains why she didn't say it.

But you, or your god, are not offering any "higher level of joy and contentment." You and your god are offering mindless oblivion s if it is a thing to aspire to. Why would any thinking person want such an eternal horror?

Way to stretch a metaphor.
OK I put it to you that the "heaven" you propose is open only to those who want to become zombies. Zombies are automatons which seek only a single goal mindlessly. That is what your "heaven" would make of anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in it. A zombie with the sole purpose of praising the non existent god forever, for fuck all reason, fuck all recompense or reward and fuck all point.

In your messed up theology, if such it can be called, your god is an insecure weakling entirely dependent on zombies to mindlessly do his bidding. Satan, in your system, had a point. Satan at least had the bottle to say "Fuck this for a game" and leave. Frankly, so would I. And that torpedoes your whole claim that there is no free will in heaven. If that were true, there would be no Satan.
