You gotta grind the pill up and put it in canned food.
It's never occured to me to try to give a cat a pill the way you can do with dogs. That just seems physically impossible.

The trick is: I usually only feed my cats dry food. Only when it's "pill time" do they ever get canned.
They don't think of it like "canned food with weird shit in it." They think: "Oh boy! Not dry food!"

You're lucky that worked...cats are very good at detecting medication no matter how hard you try to hide it.
With dogs all you need is a piece of cheese.
Not always true. My wife had a Cocka-Poo that could always tell when a foreign substance was in a treat. I'd say it's mostly the emotional behavior of the servants, tbh.
