Pic delete for being in astonishingly bad taste.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I often don't get the joke. I thought this was one of those times.

Jokes are supposed to be funny.

First of all, shaking a baby is child abuse and quite dangerous.

Secondly, poking fun at someone who has Parkinson's is not laughable in any sense.

And additionally, I think there is some reason that FM needs to post something, anything, every few minutes no matter what.

That's a type of shock humor. Why does one laugh? Laughter is entirely a defense mechanism. Laughter is a defense against hostility, a replacement for hostility, a defense mechanism against guilt, embarrassment.

You see something like that and you think, well, "That's beyond tasteless." Except it's, sort of, true. I've heard from quite a few people how they had ideas of killing their babies when they can't stop crying.

Great way to try to explain it...you know a lot of people who have thought about killing their kids...says as much about you as of them.

The Gal. Never hear of the other three.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

In order for something qualify as shock humour, it should contain an element of humour. Making fun of shaken baby syndrome and Parkinson’s does neither.
