Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Note: Your milage may/will vary about considering this humorous, but I personally love bad movies. My personal favourite bad movies are the ones that are just so batshit I can't help but enjoy them. My latest discovery in this category is Tom Green's 2001 Freddy Got Fingered.

Here are some examples:

Am I the only one who would love to see someone playing, say, Art of the Fugue, on an organ with a set-up like Gord's attached to his fingers?

This is the first clip of the film I saw. It doesn't make much more sense in context.

This is one of my favourite parts of the film, if only because everyone else's non-reaction to Gord's insanity makes an interesting contrast:

For what it's worth, this isn't even close to all the horrifying shit in the movie that made me laugh.

I heard the main character described on TVTropes as "an apparently mentally retarded man who made it his life's mission to be as bizarre and offensive as possible (licking an open wound, wearing a bloody deer carcass as clothing, etc.)," and I suppose they may have a point there. Nonetheless, the film fascinates me to no end.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.

I was born with the gift of laughter and a sense the world is mad.

Last couple of months here have been good. AF has some interesting and some eccentric characters but I'm pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and vigorous a web forum can be.
