He can still claim that. The Washington Examiner isn't exactly 'news' and the article he linked was an opinion piece.

Where' s THEIR Congressional investigation?

Why aren' t the murderers all over the news like one guy with a silly horned hat with his feet on a desk???
.

Last year, 1021 people were killed by police.

Where’s THEIR Congressional investigation?

Why aren’t the murderers all over the news, period?

And of those 1021 how many were in the process of a felony? How many of those 1021 was the officer or a third person' s life were in danger? How many were hostage situations?

You know - the things you pay the cops for - and EXPECT them to do it....

You don' t care.

You want everyone to believe every one of those 1021 was a angel being mowed down by a rabid cop who got up that morning LOOKING to kill someone.

Right because "there must have been a justification"

We don't pay them to abuse the public

Actually, you don't care. Because the cop is "Always in the right"

How many were shot while fleeing (any is too many)?

That is manifestly NOT what I pay cops for.

I don’t care as much about 54 dead cops as I do about 1021 dead civilians, so I suppose you have a point.

I absolutely do not want everyone to believe that. I want everyone to believe that cops are poorly trained and are unfairly protected when they fuck up and kill innocent people (and that’s what it is - a fuck up).

RE: Send in the social workers.
For some reason conservatives are biased towards cops because they are putting their life at risk to protect those that abide by the law. It's the Dirty Harry fantasy. But those cops all chose that line of work; they weren't forced into it. And if the number of innocent people shot by a cop is more than zero then there's a serious problem. When a simple traffic stop turns into a bloodbath and the only person who had a weapon was the cop, that isn't justice. Cops are not meant to be judge, jury and executioner. That is not a civil society. If this happened just once per year and we were all appalled and the offending cop was imprisoned then I would say the system is ok, but we all know better than that. When doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, and many other professions are negligent and someone gets hurt, the victims have a right to pursue legal action. Cops are protected from that.
Why is it so?

Since 1970, there have been 1316 school shootings in the US, yet there is no congressional investigation to examine toning down US gun laws.  Washington's usual response to such tragedies is "thoughts and prayers" but no fucking action.

Nevertheless, cops are throwing a tantrum over being made to get vaccinated, even being made to wear masks, even where mandates have been in effect.

We need an entirely new police force.  The one we have is full of whiny dipshits who never grew up, and startle at the sound of their own voices.

There' s your bias hanging out.

I did not say 54 police killed.

I said 54 people.

.
A couple were cops.

They are people you know.

But you don' t care about that.

It' s quite obvious.

I suspect that no one, absolutely no one, pays for a murderous police force.

It’s bad for law abiding citizens, bad for criminals, bad for cops, and bad for good governance.

“But they were felons!” Is both materially false, and irrelevant if it were true.
