Wiki has a good article on islamic mythology. It's significantly different than the christian mythology and that flows down(or up) to fundamental differences between the religions - but not different in the mistaken claims about our origins. Or in that it explicitly intended to offer such explanations. The idea, even, that these stories were or could have been silent on the matter is actually a product of this same syncretic attempt in western society. A polite negotiation to file away the abject failure of any attempt to reconcile our creation myths with reality as expressed through scientific consensus in order to minimize social discord.

Reminds me of the pogroms of the High Middle Ages when the first Crusaders, instead of marching south, marched north with the belief that if Europe was converted to the One True Faith that Jesus would come again. Many Jews refused to convert, instead opting for suicide or to be slain.

Was it worth it? One phony religion versus another? As for me, I would have converted. Henry IV, in my opinion, must be regarded as being one of the most significant individuals of the Second Millennium, "(Insert whatever) is worth a Mass." In other words, some things are not worth dying for.

False. The account of creation from clay can be reconciled with modern biology by poiting out to clay minerals as catalysts of some forms of chemical reactions, that resulted in the formation of more complex types of organic molecules found in living organisms.

You didn't figure anything out at seven years old. You might have seen through something that the people around you weren't seeing through, but you by no means had the whole thing figured out so young, because that would be impossible. Even now, it doesn't sound like you have things figured out.
