Notice the article says “boost heart disease risk,” not “cause heart disease.” And as others have mentioned, how much you are eating on a regular basis matters. Also, ham and bacon are heavy in sodium which also plays a role in the manifestation of cardiovascular disease over time.
What is the difference between "boost your heart disease risk" and "cause heart disease"?

The difference is that an increased risk of heart disease is not the same as having heart disease.
As an analogy, think of crossing the street. A person who crosses the street ten times a week has an increased risk of being run over compared to a person who crosses the street once a week. But in neither case is crossing the street a guarantee of being run over.

There’s this thing called “Google Scholar.” Use it. You clearly should have been using it long before you made your video.
Quote:”Risk” refers to the probability of occurrence of an event or outcome. Statistically, risk = chance of the outcome of interest/all possible outcomes.

The number one cause of heart attacks is low blood pressure, so shouldn't sodium decrease the risk of heart attacks?

That's a bold theory, Cotton. Perhaps you should personally test it by eating nothing but salt?

Wrong.
Google the causes of heart attacks.

Too much salt clearly leads to heart attacks. But so does too little salt. And, in the world where we live today, it seems that most people eat too little salt, rather than too much salt.

Wrong.
Google the causes of heart attacks.

Don't confuse your ability to use Google with my years of research. Don't confuse your Google degree with the fact that I have survived a heart attack and have spent years as a cardiac patient. I trust Dr. R a hell of a lot more than I trust your babbling, rambling, spit-balling BS.
