if trump and his close associates do not have all their political rights revoked for life, then The long term impact of trump’s insurrection on american governance and political stability would be the same as if they had never been punished at all for it, and insurrection will be perceived as a viable and potentially extremely effective way of advancing political agenda in the american political system, and we will likely see presidential or other national elections outcomes overtly subverted through blantant fraud and violence as the norm rather than exception, probably within 2 4 year election cycles .

I seriously doubt he's going to prison.
I've always said, that he is so insane, if worse comes to worst, his family is going to claim dementia.
In South Carolina last weekend, he was talking about his rival "Jeb Bush", who "invaded Iraq". LOL
Then he was railing about whales and windmills. Seriously. He's fucking nuts.
If you look at any of the old interviews with him and Chris Matthews, about 10 - 20 years ago, he clearly has lost his marbles.
