A thing I saw on a site that I want to comment on

Okay, I don't know what you all think of the Instagram site, Threads, but if you care to look, please look at this.

Now, if you ask me, I love what this guy says. For those unwilling to read this. Basically, he says something about loving everyone, including enemies, neighbors and different people, like the religious people, most definitely the Christians, told him to do do. However, it ended with the same people who told him to do that telling and calling him the following, and I quote...

"But now, you call me a libtard. A queer-lover. You call me "woke." A backslider. You call me a heretic. A child of the devil.😈 You call me soft. A snowflake. A socialist"

I am not entirely sure if this really happened or if this is something else, but to me, it makes sense that something like this would happen. With that said, there seem to be a good number of Christians who do not care about or even hate people who are different. People of different races, the LGBT, people of different religions, females, etc. So not only do I find calling people a "libtard, a queer-lover, etc." for loving different kinds of people and all hypocritical, but I wish to say...

Those Christians do not have the right to spread the word of love if they wish to exclude different people from that love and even hate them.

In fact, I don't think those Christians are the right ones to use love in any way at all.

Given the history of discrimination coming from Christians, I do not think these people realize that they are not the ones who should be spreading love in the name of "Jesus", as not only is religion and what Jesus may have preached subjective in nature, but with that, I'd say these Christians "Give Love a Bad Name", if you know what I mean. I must admit, this may not only be just Christians, but perhaps people of other religions as well.

So, what do you all think about this? With all of what I said, do you all think religious people like Christians are the right ones to spread the idea of love around? I know not all Christians are the same, and not all Christians discriminate, but with the bad apples in Christianity, I personally think how those bad apples in Christianity do make it look like; in a way; that Christians aren't the right people to spread love, and even with those that do it properly, the bad apples seem to make the good apples look bad.

But yeah, hopefully, you can see what I mean. I do think Christians aren't really the right kind of people to spread the idea of love around, given how even love can be subjective and Christians can still discriminate against others.

EDIT: I realize this could have been on the Religion section of this forum. I honestly forgot about that before I posted this, so feel free to move it to that sub-forum. I just wanted to share some atheist based views with this, though.

No matter how nice they are at the end of the day they think because I and anyone else whose beliefs differ from theirs, will burn forever.

I have loving Christians in my own family. I don't judge them by the idiots, nor do I judge the idiots by them. I prefer taking people they way they come.

Me, I think loving people are the best ones to spread love around -- no matter what they believe.

As the contemporary christian polity drifts further and further into new age beliefs it robs the bigots of the cover their shared religiousity has historically provided, and both sides feel miffed.

Well, not to advertise, but I want to say something about this site (named Threads) where I got the post from if that is okay...

This site where I got the person's post from seems to be a good site. Granted, there may be some bad apples, but the majority of posts there are pro-LGBT, pro-racial minorities, they are in fact, seemingly accepting towards everything, really, and don't support crooks like Trump. That is a reason why it is better than Twitter/X. Not saying you should sign up for the site, for the main thing is...

The people I have seen on the site are smarter than the religious people (such as Christians), far-right republicans and MAGAts on other sites such as Twitter or X. In fact, I have seen things by plenty of people there who are not in favor of Christianity or religion, which I wanted to mention because I think that goes with what this site is about.

It also has given me more hope about things, too. I am just giving the site a compliment, that is all, but while again, there may be bad people there, the number of good posts I have seen shows that there can be a lot of good more than there is bad.

A child of the devil is a strong word but true for those who follow after the devils footsteps. The same goes for someone who follows God. They are children of God.
