Question for deists: Why is there a Creator?

Why would you even want to connect something you've constructed to be non verifiable? Do you like kicking yourself in the head?

I can tell you how the bible works out for me. That's how I hang on to those thoughts. I want to know if your shit works out for you. How do you make that work? I presume you have some idea or you'd believe something else?
I don't connect the material and immaterial - I know they're separate so don't waste my time. And advise others not to too.
