Too true. Nature's God is definitely not for the weak looking for a floating invisible friend to help them through their day cause they're too pathetic to rise to the occasion we call life.

Thing is, neither will Jesus. The difference is Nature's God never promised to and I've never asked.
Don't you wonder if 'God' must be a person, to have caused persons/love etc?

Not really... If this Jesus guy existed, it was a long time ago, so I think it is safe to assume he is brain dead by now

Jesus is fucked, end of.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Do we really need to go there? I can cite scripture with all manner of claims that Jesus made which don't pan out, from his return to the power of prayer. The claims of Christianity have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.

Nah, the point is valid, frods, even though you really want to sweep it under the rug. This is your bullshit....not ours.
Matt 24
Quote: 29“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31“And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Parable of the Fig Tree
32“Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 34“Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
See, I can dismiss this as the ramblings of some psychotic asshole. Those of you who think it is the word of god have got a bigger problem.
Xtians have been twisting their nuts for centuries trying to get around this holy fuck up. They can make themselves feel better but as far as convincing anyone else it's a no-go.
