us the basis of modern day morality and has been a part of every great civilization - versus atheism which was the foundation of communism. Get off your high horse.

Religion is most certainly not responsible for modern day morality. It is responsible for ancient and medieval morality. Modern morality is due to progressivism, and an increase in rationalism. Religious morality is inferior, oppressive, and almost always becomes corrupt.
Also, atheism has nothing to do with communism, that just shows how little you know, and are just spouting out talking points.

You're right my first sentence wasn't too clear - I think you know what I mean however.
Almost all of the great champions of modern morality were religious. We can both agree that the original form and practice of religion was no good, but it was much more tolerant than anything else that was around at that time. Also, with its evolution from fundamentalism/extremism to what it is now (I'm referring to moderate Christianity/Judaism/Islam), almost all of modern morality has spawned from it.
