We (as in the US) did more than throw bricks, for lesser slights...but we call that patriotism and a fight for freedom from tyranny, in retrospect. Pretty sure we were called thugs and agitators for it then too.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

All that work that Martin Luther King had done, and it is slowly going down the drain. If only the United States could resolve the gun problem, especially the NRA (I believe it is that group who are pro-guns) and also tighter controls into what comes into the United States. In fact, following the Australian gun Amnesty model might help things, not immediately, but in the long run.

MLK got shot for his trouble, if you'll recall. That's how we deal with peaceful dissenters. That dream of his ever come to pass?
Be a good boy, and we might give you what you want, but probably not.....and if any of you step out of line we'll take away whatever that was in the first place...and all of this will, ofc, be your fault. Coincidentally, that's how we kept them in line on the plantation too.

I wasn't there if that is what you want to know. As for his dream, I guess it works both ways. There has to be a great deal of give and take from BOTH sides; the government and the citizens. There is no point in creating communities otherwise it will just alienate the community and the government even more, to the point that the point of no return will be reached and then that will be it.
If black communities, Indian communities or Mexican communities want a working model, then the Chinese model works quite well. They are pertty close-knit but seldom any trouble. I say this as I lived near to a large Chinese community (studied their martial arts and some of their language too along with their culture) and I live next to a large Chinese/Cantonese/Thai, Cambodien and Vietnamien communities in Paris. My gf being half Vietnamien and half Armenian. Furthermore, plantations or more to the point Slavery; was not only a "white", issue, but also an Arabic one, not in the United States but elsewhere in the Middle East:

I swear if I have to listen to one more white person like you go on about what good little non-whites Asians are I will scream. Fuck you! Fuck you and model minority, self justifications. I swear, people like you make my skin itch. It's as if what black people are saying to you goes in one ear and out the other. Why are you even here?

If you don't like my opinion then that is your choice. Every race has its rotten eggs, including the white population. By the way, I am not white, I am a nuance
i.e. ffcd94. White is ffffff. Furthermore, what does it tell you when you say "if I have to listen to one more white person."

Oh please sir explain what exactly black Americans should do? While we get murdered, and have our deaths justified because we weren't "respectful" enough, weren't "quiet" enough", we looked "suspicious". Please tell us exactly what we should do when men, women, and children are seen as threatening for breathing the same air in the vicinity of white people. What exactly should we do when the police are called because we walk about our own neighborhoods? What exactly should we do when anything in our hands could be construed as a weapon? What exactly should we do when so much as lifting our arms is "reaching for a weapon"? What exactly should we do when our children are seen as "older" and more "threatening", though they look no different than other children? What exactly should we do when we can't call for help in an emergency because the police may not see a person in need of help but a criminal? Oh please tell me exactly how should we air our grievances in ways the rest of America will not ignore or rationalize as "whining", "playing the race card", or "being distruptive"? I want here your suggestions.
First off, targeting police officers for assassination and murder isn't going to get anybody anything except either a life sentence in prison or the death penalty. Secondly, take the chip off your shoulder. Stop bitching and moaning and blaming white people. Take responsibility for yourself. Nobody owes you anything. Instead of protesting and instigating murder against police officers make a real difference in your community. Organize your neighbors and your community. Take your streets back from the criminal elements. Make your community more appealing to businesses to bring in jobs. Encourage and support small business growth, for starters.

I'm sure that's what the loyalists said to the patriots too..A theist. Strange, that we mythology the latter and demonize the current crop. People will, inevitably, respond to violence with violence, it;s not entirely unlike a fucking disease...lol. There's always -someone- around to blame the folks who lash out for the violence perpetrated against them.

How's that seem to be working out so far? Violent demonstrations and agitating the murdering of police officers doesn't make BLM so popular these days. Anything they tried to accomplish is in the shitter now. Whenever anyone mentions BLM, people will recall that the movement was tied to the deaths of police officers.
