Yeah, if for instance God of Bible was real then we would see angels flying around; bad people like child molesters punished by thunders from heaven, diseases or maybe sudden death; we would see good people being rewarded and healed by praying and not the other way around like it is.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Disproving evolution does not prove God. It doesn't prove anything, except evolution is "wrong". You don't get to make up a new explanation to fill the gap. Neither are God and evolution necessarily at odds. Only for those who insist on it.
You are of course confusing evolution and The Theory Of Evolution. Evolution itself is as apparent as gravity. To state otherwise is to claim that offspring are not variable, or not based around the parameters of their parents. Of course they are, it's easily observable, and natural selection finishes the picture. It's TTOE which can be challenged and improved.
Nothing can prove God until a testable, falsifiable hypothesis/definition has been put forward. And it hasn't.

Of course. God was disproved millennia before people discovered natural selection by guys like Epicurus who famously said: " Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?"
But stupid god-loving community like Christians who gave up on rationality instead of debating him simply put him in Hell and in Dante’s Divine Comedy: The Inferno one can find Epicurus and his followers in the Sixth Circle, known as the Circle of Heretics, trapped and tortured in flaming tombs.
The reality is you don't debate religion you enforce it.

Oh yes, the omni-everything God destroyed himself with his own logic, aided by Epicurus. Lesser, more reasonable Gods can at least logically exist, but few people are prepared to lower any stat below infinity so they continue to chase ghosts. Kevin can exist just fine, but people have an almost violent reaction to him, exclaiming, "But he's not a god!" As if the word actually means anything.

Is it intelligent for an atheist to reject naturalistic evolution that everything in the universe came by chance and evolved from matter?

"Came by chance" is a ridiculous strawman. No intelligent person thinks that.
And whether it's intelligent or not, atheists can believe whatever they want. They can believe in magic pixies if they like.
If beliefs have to make sense, then theism would already be illegal.

You might do with a re-reading of Genesis 1, especially verses 11 and 24. A pretty fair case can be made here that God created biological evolution.
Boru I'd say theistic evolution is only a recent idea, theistic evolution was an attempt to make the Bible fit with evolution and it wasn't as if we got evolution from the Bible because the normal traditional reading of Genesis for 2000 years was a literal 6 day creation. Genesis does not talk about the Big bang or apes evolving. The problem is this is not how to interpret the Bible in the right way, the thing is you don't use an idea to fit in with the Bible but we see if the idea fits in with the Bible. Theistic evolution is not in harmony with the Bible, but it is in total conflict with it. Misrepresents the nature of the christian God, allows millions of years of death and horror before sin. It makes the Christian God look weak and lacking power because God had to Lie in Genesis that he created the world in 6 days and wait millions of years of death and evolution until Adam and Eve came on the scene even though Genesis(Bible) says there was no death in the creation week.

So you don't think life on earth came about by chance, huh?

No, I don't. Not in the sense you are suggesting. It happened as a result of a series of events, following the laws of reality. It may even have been inevitable.
