Arguments against existence of God.
RE: Arguments against existence of God.

Is that your final answer or do you want to go back to your first example of "toilets?"

The issue isn't about "rifling", but rather rotation.  Rifling determines speed while proving stabilization.  Change the rifle, the round, or both, and it's still not going to change the orientation of the bullet's rotation.

We've already concluded that the imperfections/oddities could account for some of the effects in consideration of planets.  See above. Smile

Good for you, and imperfections and oddities in your arguments explain your own eccentricities. I could point out why your rejoinder on bullets, above, is wrong again, but I don't see the point.

Derp.

(I'm hoping that if I learn his language that rationale conclusions may be just over the horizon)

I just posted this within the last several weeks, and Polymath provided an updated link:

Creation of Universes from Nothing

Please note the plural in the paper.

So I read that paper and here's the bottom line:

"In this paper I would like to suggest a new cosmological scenario in which the universe is spontaneously created from literally nothing."

Interestingly the author, Vilenkin, used the word "created" implying a Creator.
But he also says "spontaneously" without further detail.
Literally nothing. Yes, in other words, creatio ex nihilo.

The question remains, does something come from "literally nothing"?

What caused it to come into being? If it was a natural phenomenon as someone suggested on this thread, where did that natural phenomenon come from?
Remember this quote "the universe is spontaneously created from literally nothing"
It is very significant.

At work.

Hello Cherub786.

So.... other than a 'Philosophical' type of 'Nothing', what other... uhm... types or examples of an actual, litteral 'Nothing' could you elucidate/explain/demonetrate?

Cheers.

Don't you worry your pretty little head about such things.

Nothing can't be demonstrated. It can only be imagined or conceived of. Therefore, I don't know any kind of nothingness apart from the philosophical definition or conception of it.
I am commenting on the paper that I was referred to Creation of Universes from Nothing by Alexander Vilenkin

So, Cherub786, other than a notion of 'Nothing' there's scant examples of anything extant that the term would apply to.

Hence, why might you think the thought experiment of 'Nothing' could apply to the period before we know about our reality?

Cheers.

Dude, the term nothing can't apply to anything extant because it's the opposite of extant.

Yes, my reply windows are short and limited. Sorry.

Kind of exactly. If 'Nothing can not exist 'Now'/presently...... Why should such ever have existed?
