The funny thing however, christians are not obliged to uphold the law of moses, while the jews are. For example, homosexuality is still a mortal sin, however, jewish theology actually calls for the blood of the homosexual, christianity promotes ignoring the homosexual's ways, while condemning him. The christian cannot legally stone a sodomite, as this would signal his acceptance of the mosaic law, and he would have to eat kosher, get circumcised, and uphold the sabbath. I've known devout followers of a few religions and they were all quite nice and following the morals that their religion had taught them.
