Yes sorry for the tangent. If God is ultimate goodness (as Christians believe) then anything we do good or bad is measured by that. Strangely anyone aiming to be moral would have the same goals.
Yeah but our goals aren't directed by a 1,700 year old collection of even older texts. Instead, we try to use common sense, reasoning, and empathy. Why else do you think Christians no longer hold a moral high ground in issues such as "the definition of marriage"?
