At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Atheists, do you support same-sex marriage?
|
Support it wholeheartedly.
And I think we'll find, if the polls are any indication, that the majority of younger Christians support it, too. It seems to be the conservative and the older Christians (and others) who don't support it. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Not really a believer in marriage in general, but I 100% support any couple who wants it, gay or straight. The world has so much evil, so much corruption and so much horror, and there are people out there obsessed with interfering in two people's expression of love for one another.
Imagine what we could accomplish with all that control-freak energy being redirected properly. Bigots need to get their fucking priorities straight is what I'm saying. If you have any serious concerns, are being harassed, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me via PM
I actually made a post a short while ago about how the majority of Americans support same-sex marriage:

They should have the exact same rights as straight people so yes. A bit of a no-brainer if you approach it logically.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Yes, I'm an atheist, and yes I support same sex marriage.
Well this thread was pointless ^_^

Sure, you don't have to be a believer in marriage to support it, but there are also legal privileges involved when two people are married instead of just living in a relationship. Such as getting full disclosure when your partner is hospitalised and being entitled to inherit. It usually also involves childcare. I say usually, since I don't know the American legislation about adopting and caring for children one or both of the partners brought into the relationship. |
