Post 1 is a negation.

Madhyamaka does not put forth any philosophical positions.

Madhyamaka may not, but you did, namely that "Creation does not exist". Before you direct me back to post 1, I'll point out that post 1 does not support your assertion.

Try again.

Thats a total miquote, but anyway

One cannot claim the universe exists.

Thus one cannot claim Creation either.

See post 1

Negating claims is not the same thing as making claims.

So, what's the point of this thread, again?

One can certainly claim either. Watch this......

The universe exists!

Creation occured!

See...just claimed it. Your position is soundly refuted.

(I bet you don't particularly appreciate the way I handled that huh...I feel the same way about rhetorical devices)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Please explain your reliance on your post 1 in a Universe that doesn't exist.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

To point out that western atheists have the same delusion as the theists.

I never claimed nonexistence.

Negating claims of existence is not the same thing as claiming nonexistence.

When are you going to start making that point then?

Mea culpa, I quoted from memory. The verbatim quote is "There is no creation". For all practical purposes, that has the same meaning as "Creation does not exist", and is NOT the same as claiming "One cannot claim the universe exists".

ah... nope.... well, depends on the delusion you're meaning:
- The delusion that the Universe exists in a physical state... agreed, most people share this.... and I guess most animals on Earth.
- The delusion that the Universe had a beginning... theists tend to claim goddidit, but then fail to provide an origin for this god thing. Atheists tend to claim that the known Universe started with the BigBang... what was there before? We don't know.

And what's the difference between western atheists and other atheists?
