Rev, answer me you chuckle fuck, this is like the 3rd or 4th time of asking, maybe if I put it in bold, you will see it?
You claimed that there was scientific evidence for a world-wide flood but didn't present it. Present it now, or admit that you were wrong to make such a claim.

That might be one of his upcoming "arguments", so he's saving it for then...
Well, there is nothing left to argue about on this thread, why not do it now?

Hey Rev, how much commission does Jesus pay for each soul rescued? And what's the heaven-earth exchange rate? I hear mustard seeds are worth a lot up there.

Rev - straightforward question:
What are you doing here? You are failing miserably in your attempt to "save" us from your sky daddy. You and your posts are the poster children for all that is emblematic of theistic "arguments".
When the tactics aren't working (and they clearly are not), perhaps it is time to change it up. Read some of the material we've given you. At the least you should try to understand your opponents' position, if for no other reason than learning how to defeat their arguments. (Good luck with that!)
Demonstrating deep ignorance on numerous topics is not the way to persuade your audience.

I'm not too worried about it.
Though God often used Paul as his mouthpiece and hand to write the Holy Scripture, Paul was a sinful man saved by grace. If He thought Christ would return in his lifetime obviously that was not an inspired thought.

Thank you. Oh, and if you could formulate your reply in your own words and not copypasta a storybook, that'd be great.
Dear Stimbo,
You obviously are very intelligent and have mastered the English language when compared to me. However, if you believe that God is not real and that Jesus never existed then you are deceived. The purpose of Satan is that because He has been condemned he wants to bring down as many with him as possible. I am pretty sure you will think I am crazy and reject this but this is my answer to your question. Good day.

From a logical perspective, it's entirely possible they're both lying, or that God is lying and Satan is telling the truth. You only believe God because you want to. Remember the notion that the victor gets to write the history books. If you assume God and Satan exist and believe God makes the claims said in the Bible, God hasn't demonstrated honesty; he's demonstrated victory and poisoning the well against his opposition. You're told to distrust Satan before he can even plead his case.
And really, you have no reason to trust God. If you believe he's real, you would be right to fear him, but not to trust him. We are told not to kill, yet God kills all the time. Apologists excuse this away by saying that those rules apply to us or that God has no moral imperative not to kill us. Similarly, we're told not to lie. The apologetics are clear: those rules don't apply to God and he has no moral imperative not to lie to us. Sure, it's possible he's telling the truth, but he would only do so if he wants to, and you're relying on trusting the will and motivations of an admitted child-killer.
I'm not saying you should start trying to converse with Satan (he's probably not real, and that'd make you a crazy person), but you should totally question why you place your trust where you do without question, and why you make excuses for someone who refuses to let you question his actions.
I totally trust in Him and in what God said. He has shown Himself to be trustworthy, loving, and honest. I believe Him 100%. If you had a relationship with Him you would understand completely.

There is no proof that the christ EVER lived - there is NO mention of him in ANY document that we have from his supposed time - none at all. I have as much reason to believe that Harry Potter saved the world - than the christ ever existed.
So - you may claim that the fairy tales of the bible say things - but to claim they were actually said by the christ - has not been established. In fact - you cannot even prove who wrote the bible books themselves. For example - writing analysis shows that the book of John was written by at least 3 and possibly four different persons - prove who those four are!
As far as the Ark - that is just another fairy tale of Judaism that is not true - just as your religion is NOT true as well. The bible is a bunch of fairy tales - many of which are PROVEN not to be true - so quoting from fairy tales gets you nowhere. Prove your statement using documents outside of a religious created tome - there are lots of other similar books that don't agree with you.
AND we HAVE been give NO REASON to trust you - whoever you are.
People have been claiming the end of time - the flood - etc - for More years than the bible implies the earth has existed. And to date - all of those people have died without the claimed result.
We Christians believe Jesus always was, not created, took on human flesh apx 2,000 years ago. One of these days it will come to pass where the end is near. Many Christians believe it is soon because of the prophesy being fulfilled of God gathering together Israel again.
(June 14, 2014 at 7:28 am)ThomM Wrote: When you consider how the ministers of the world cut and paste parts of the bible and ignore others like the plague - and then claim WE take things out of context. The fact is - the bible is nothing more than a collection of fictional stories from unknown authors - some of which could not have been written within 200 years of the supposed time of the christ.
Example - the word "Rabbi" was not used until after the second century - yet it appears in the bible - HOW? Because the bible is nonsense

You speak as if that's a good thing. Exploiting the needy, the sick, the poor, the starving by giving them what they need to live and then telling them it's all because of the god YOU believe in that they're being helped, and that they need to accept this god or they'll suffer even in death.
Yeah. Really fucking generous.
Actually that's called coercion. Yeah, your "generous" missionaries are being a bunch of subversive slimeball coercive exploitative thugs, dangling food over the head of those suffering the agony of starvation, and placing it in their hand while pushing your book into the other.
Religion loves to prey on the weak and suffering. If you guys were really doing it for charity, you'd keep your fucking traps shut about your religious bullshit when you're helping these people, and simply let them know what you believe and nothing else. Instead you push your bullshit on them, and what else are they going to think? Are they, in their starving agony, really going to think for themselves? Are you really enlightening them, bringing them into the fold of your lord? Or are you simply snatching people into the shadows before they can begin to see light?
Those of secular charities are true charities. Those of missions are little more than manipulative scumbags, serving their own agenda and cloaking it with the trappings of generosity.
Unbelievable.
