So, when God, during the genesis, moved a shit ton of water into the sky, that was for the express purpose of drowning the piss out of almost every living thing on earth? He didn't have a lot of faith in his creation, did he?
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:

OP, you do realize there are 39,000 sects of Christianity? At least 20 different followings of Judaism? More than 20 in Islam? All Abrahamic religions... but what about those who are non-denominational? Those who say they have the "correct" interpretation of the Bible or other holy book number pretty much all of those people involved in all of those different sects?
In other words: why are you right, and they're all wrong? Why are you the special snowflake?

You can make the bible say whatever you want if you start with the conclusion it is true, so must say what you want it to, and then "interpret" it. God sure is a shitty writer because he can barely get two people to agree on his bullshit book.
Why an omnipotent God needs to rest, or needs time to create stuff, is another story.
But thousands of years after the creation's seventh day began King David said it continued on in his day and thousands of years later Paul said the same thing and thousands of years later than that that day continues to this day.
You can't make the Bible say whatever you want you can only misinterpret or misrepresent it.
The Bible doesn't say that God is omnipotent in the strict religious sense of the word, and his rest was a period of time in which he would have allowed mankind to fulfill their purpose of filling and subduing the earth. Since that was temporarily stalled due to Adam's disobedience that period of time will continue until Christ becomes King and the meek inherit the earth.
