Here's something worth pointing out..that gets lost in the sauce of how utterly terrible Thjese People™ are. Regardless of whether or not the subset I'm referring to represents christianity-at-large (and I would contend that it doesn't)...a particular form of american christianity has become so calcified in a single direction..that it has transformed itself into an illegal religion..requiring the protection of a deeply troubled administration from the very laws that administration is sworn to uphold. Mull that over a bit. There is a flavor of christian americana that is explicitly illegal...and now resides at the highest levels of government. All those "keep it to yourself" comments about religion fall flat, here.
