What damage? Seriously, the claim has been made that Trump has damaged the US, but I have yet to be given an example. The Hong Kong reference was given specifically to illustrate that a group of people still look to the US as the embodiment of individual rights and freedom. The fact that you don't get this or willfully ignore it is telling.

The president of the united states tried to extort an ally, dangling military assistance during a hot war, for personal political gain. Then they covered it up. Then they lied about it, and about covering it up. You have no choice but to vote for that, do you? I bet theres a pillow in your house that would be more fit for office. Vote for your pillow instead. If you vote for scrotus, it's because you want him, you like his policies. You;re willing to trade whatever it is you don;t like about him or his policies...for the things that you do.
The first step is admitting that to yourself. Truth is, though, that the dems don't need our help, you and I. Hitlery didn't need it to wipe the floor with trump, and she was phenomenally unlikable. Hitlery didn't need our votes in spite of historic voter disenfranchisement and a very effective russian disinformation campaign. This idea of trump sweeping the vote is a fantasy. Ever wonder why you have fantasies like that? Fear or elation..and if it were fear...why would you help to make it a reality, as unlikely as it truly is?
Ultimately....though....go vote for a traitor and a thief. That's what democracy is all about - it's your vote to do with as you please.
