When you prayed did it ever work?
RE: When you prayed did it ever work?
Nope, and that's the whole point. Subtle twist on cliché number 32 though.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Assuming that there is an afterlife, otherwise we won't. (Why is all in quotation marks?)

Another "mystery" in life

Wow! So "all" we need to do is believe in your god all day, every day, in every way, while at the same time having the trusting "heart" (by this of course you mean "mind") of a child? You are PATHETIC.

Quote:I would take the several hours necessary to tell you about all the miracles God has done for me and the loving people I know...if I thought it would be met with respect and belief! But sadly I know better.

You mean you could tell us a bunch of anecdotal stories about coincidence and fortunate happenstance that in your deluded "heart" are attributable to your god? Please spare us.

Is lobbing bombs your only function here?

Fine, you do that. Just keep me and mine out of it, that's all I ask.

Finally....a sensible anti! I like your tie.

How do you know that?
Did you read it of a 2000 year old book?
What makes you trust that book?
Clearly, there are people who don't trust it. Have you ever considered these may be on to something?

Now tell me how wrong I am.

See the difference between you and me is that I care about YOU!

Let me ask you a question: Do you believe there is intelligent life somewhere else in the universe?

Or, is this it?

No I prayed when I was younger not for myself or for personal gain but because my Grandma was ill and she asked me to pray for her that night.I did and off course nothing worked.I suppose when you are desperate you turn to anything and I was not old enough to understand all this.People say religion gives them hope all it does is delude people and gives the impression that such delusion is hope.

Somebody's been watching Ancient Aliens of late.........
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I've always been amused how you and your ilk, so sure of your ancient and ignorant view of existence, use derivations of the word 'mystery'. The frequency of usage rivals the cock rpm I generate when giving blisters to the sisters.

You care so much you want me to believe in the same things you believe...-.-'

I fail to see how intelligent life somewhere else in the Universe relates to this topic, but WTH?!
No, I don't believe there is intelligent life somewhere in the Universe.
Although, I once did some completely subjective probability analysis of that event (plugging in stuff like how likely a star is to have a planetary system; how likely this planetary system is of having one planet in the habitable zone; how likely it is for this planet to have the correct size; how likely it is to actually generate life; how likely it is for this life to evolve into intelligent beings like ourselves) and I got that there may be something between 0.1 to 100 planets with intelligent life per galaxy.
Slightly more (subjectively) likely than: there is a god and it's the christian one (To this one, I attribute a probability of 0.000000000001 % Tongue).

If extraterrestrial life is discovered, I won't be nearly as surprised as if a god is discovered.

LOL, I second this motion, I'd really prefer not to be cared for in the way that christians seem intent on caring for me. Something about the road to ruin being paved with good intentions and all that.

I seriously don't know how you get any action with a mug like that!

And you should leave your sisters alone!
