For non-Christians: What would it take?

Yeah, I also don't recall Spock saying that. Was it some kind of directors cut or something? I stand behind the statement though.
First and foremost "God" requires a proper definition. But actually I don't care, nothing is missing from my life, if there's a God or not doesn't matter to me.

It would require God appearing before all of humanity at once, and displaying him or her [more likely her] self to be of godly compassion and knowledge and above human emotion.

Because you opened with "God" in a question pertaining to Xtianity, but then palmed a card with a generic 'god' which doesn't necessarily come with anything like as much contradictory and harmful baggage. I realise you were responding to Min's use of the term but the distinction is an important one and needs to be clarified before we can make much sensible headway. That said, of course, if it is the former you're selling, we know that bastard doesn't exist, since we know the things it's supposed to have done - six day creation, Adam and Eve, global flood etc - never happened as the mythology says they did. It's got a lot to answer and apologise for if it does turn out to exist, however. I certainly could never lower myself to worship it in any case, since the mythological record demonstrates it to have long since forfeited any entitlement it may once have had. To give you a taste of how your question looks from my perspective, let's turn it around. What would it take for you to believe in Zeus, or Wotan, or Quetzecoatl, or Ceiling Cat, or... Ponder that honestly then get back to us.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Well, succinctly, I view women more as creators and men as the destroyers, with both the good and bad that both entail. Men have had to be destroyers. The hunters, the workers, the guards to the women who produce their young. Note I said guard. As in to defend, not to guard a cage. A god of creation would have to be a godDESS of creation because creation is one of the most signifying aspects of being a woman; not just to create art but also life.
What about those of us who are neither men nor women - and those who are androgynous? O.o

But first you need to define 'god' so that I can state the type & standard of evidence which I would require. I would add that I find it impossible to disbelieve anything which is factually demonstrated.
