Just nitpicking a detail here but everyone else. Really? Everyone. Vagueness of the rest of the statement aside you can't possibly believe that everyone who has tried to petition God has had a blessed life.
I'm throwing out a guess that either those people 'weren't doing it right' or the blessing they receive is so meaningless as to be indistinguishable for not having said blessing.
