There is, like, eight things wrong with that statement. I'll just pick the most prominent one, which is that a deity which came from nothing didn't come from anything/where/one, and therefore you would have no other option for worship. Given that nothing doesn't have anything in it, including time, your god would be the first extant thing, and thus the first thing to exist in a temporal framework. Life is a concept that relies upon time, after all.
I gotta say, it's really kind of strange that I have to defend your position for you.

Such a higher being isn't mentioned in the bible and so couldn't be worshipped by biblical theists. If such a higher being exists, you wouldn't know from reading the bible. So even if we accept the bible as the direct word of your god, we can have no way of knowing if your god is being entirely truthful.

I suggest you go back and read the bible again.
To save you time, may I direct you to the first four words right at the start of the first book of the bible, which is called "Genesis".

Apologies, I didn't realise that god was a higher being than itself

I don't think you mean for this to sound as shallow as it does. You make it sound as though Christians just want to hook up with the baddest ass god in the woods, no matter what they're about.
God Almighty! The first and still undefeated!
Doesn't sound like the character of this god is even a consideration. All loving? Merciful? Who cares, it's his universe and you're just pleased as punch to toss His salad.

That depends on if you're narrating or not. Because if you are, it would be "The Bible; Written by"(.... 'God, published by some sap....Random Religion Print, Eden. Heaven's Gate, Press..... Ch.1 In the beginning....').
I suppose it could also be "The Holy Bible; Written"

I fail see how natural laws infer a natural legislator. Isn't that just the gunslinger fallacy?

It's conflating natural laws, which are descriptions of processes that behave consistently, and human laws, which are prescriptive, not descriptive.
