Thanks tack I too am glad that I was able to catch myself before reaching the point of no return. It is sad to see so many people get lost in religious extremism to the point where they are no longer rational nor able to think independently. I've met many who were like that in my former days as an evangelist.

Now, they will say we with our "permissive society" and our "rude jokes" are obsessed; no, we have a healthy attitude, we like it, it's fun, it's jolly. Because it's a primary impulse it can be dangerous and dark and difficult - it's a bit like food in that respect, only even more exciting. The only people who are obsessed with food are the anorexic and the morbidly obese, and that, in erotic terms, is the Catholic Church in a nutshell." - Stephen Fry (December 10, 2009 at 2:41 pm)Saerules Wrote: Of course, 'God' is a literary device used to 'magically correct everything "wrong" in the story'... so i suppose they rationalize it like that? Yes... you go wrong when you use logic. God trumps all with his awesomely profoundly high levels of "specialness". Duh. I seem to be missing that quote in my Bible.
