They're the ones who yell SMALL GOVERNMENT out of one side of their mouths, while cheering on these appendages of BIG GOVERNMENT and starting fundraising drives for them when they gun down some "gangsta" or "thug".
The sad reality is that the moment a tool is proposed to help police the police the left starts to scream, "What good will body camera's do". Its as if you want to cry about the problem but don't want to do anything about it.
If there is one thing I agree with Obama on, its that police should be required to wear body cameras.
I've never heard anyone object to police wearing body cameras... is that really a thing?

Hahaha! Yeah; besides the police :p
I was responding to Heywood's annoying claim that liberals object to it.

As long as the DAs can tell their grand juries "who are you going to believe? Your lying eyes or me? Forget that silly video." the cameras will do little more than annoy the shit out of people. You could not have gotten better videos of Garner's murder. There was no impact on the grand jury.
We know where the problem lies within the system.
Here, this is what the fucking cops are saying and have been saying.

Quote:Police: Chokehold victim complicit in own death
Apparently he choked himself!
Wait, it gets better.
Quote:"Police officers feel like they are being thrown under the bus," said Patrick Lynch, president of the police union.
Yeah, the other guy is dead and you fuckers claim to be the victim.
No wonder they were called 'pigs' in the 60's.

I will admit that if you can talk, you have at least some ability to move air out of your mouth. However he still died from suffocation, so apparently he couldn't breathe enough to stay alive. His health condition doesn't matter. the fact that he could still breathe slightly doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that he suffocated to death because they were choking him after he was down.
Body cams would really be only half of it. The other half is actually punishing police for murdering people.

Here's a dirty little secret. A chokehold can deprive your brain of oxygen *without* completely impeding your ability to breath. The fact that he could speak is irrelevant. That simply means his airway was not blocked.
Compressing one or both carotid arteries will limit or cut off the blood flow to the brain, leading to unconsciousness and eventually cardiac arrest. Death is a predictable outcome of applying a chokehold, and it's an inevitable outcome if the hold is applied for too long.
Yeah, it's a damn good way to subdue someone. It's also very easy to kill someone, even unintentionally.

I imagine they'll be pressuring the ME to amend his report to say he died in a "boating accident."

Oh yeah, I forgot about the blood vessels. You have an important blood vessel there, which is why a slash to the throat is a quick way to kill someone.

He's asking pretty much the same question I asked earlier in this thread, and you missed the sarcasm of the question both times. What good are body cameras if a police officer can murder someone on video and still not worry about even an indictment? If our justice system doesn't actually hold cops accountable for their actions, even when they are on video, then body cams aren't going to stop police brutality.
Or, maybe you aren't blind to the obvious sarcasm and you're intentionally misconstruing Congressman Gregory's words as if to suggest he is against the idea of body cams, because that's just the sort of dishonest fuckery you always do, the kind of dishonest fuckery you have to do, to try to score a point off the 'left'.
