Treat others as you wish to be treated.

You'd think this is a simple motto, one that can be easily followed...but, there's a lot of people who treat people as they wish NOT to be treated, themselves.

Looking at the "related artists" part of artists I play on Spotify. Tanlines right now. Probably Blouse next.

It also falls apart easily. Sometimes I'd very like to be sliced right up from my left ankle to my right kidney... to be held without holding back... to be taken wildly and without warning...

People ought be treated instead between some balance of how they'd like to be treated, and how you'd like to treat them. Anything else is completely unfair to the other involved party Smile

You know what is a stupid motto?

Lightning never strikes twice!

Course it does. You think here's only been one lightning strike ever?

-Nothing bad that happens to you is as bad as you imagine it to be.

-The fact that there are people worse off than you are isn't a reason to gloat, but a reason to help.

-Official motto of Rolling Stone magazine: 'Making lists for the sole purpose of pissing you off since 1967.'

It's more of a saying that morphed into my motto. (It has to be said in a thick North Eastern (U.S.) accent to be affective.) "Go fuck yer-self."

I never pass up the opportunity so sing it.
Hmmm... I'm allot like a muslim praising allah in this regard.
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”

This one always struck me as good advice for when you don't know the person or are not sure how it is they'd like to be treated. But then you still have to qualify it to treat others as they prefer to be treated .. provided you don't find that too repugnant.

This one from Butt Head:

Do unto others as, like, you want them to do unto you, if you like sucked or something.
