Who allowed Gentiles to become Christians anyways?
That seems to contradict what Jesus says.
Jesus. One of his last actions was to heal a Gentile. He also forced His followers to reach out to the Gentiles during the whatever it's called after the Resurrection.
Judi.....if you're going to condemn your friends for what their beliefs, you should at least read their book...I don't condemn Moslems on their faith because I don't feel like reading the Qur'an.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Pointing out something in a bible christians are supposed to adhere to because it's "The Word" isn't condeming. It's simply making a statement that some, apparently can't handle.

For a second, I read that as Bobcat Goldthwait's fucking bible.

Christians can eat ham...the only thing a Christian cannot actually eat is blood (not even sure there is a verse about being against cannibalism; it's just implied that it's wrong).
You were demeaning from the first post, so I don't think you really should complain if one of your friends called you out.
Christians over here have been eating blood for centuries.
It's called black pudding.
Eaten at breakfast.

I see. JC seems to change his strategy a bit after resurrecting in Matthew or John or where that was
So the eating pork thing you say is ok because the old law doesn't apply to gentiles and also *isn't transferred* to them? Why do gentile Christians assume that other parts of the old law such as the commandments are transferred to them?
Those laws were not applied to Gentiles. I don't try and worry about them applying to the converted Jews (I assume the ban on pork may have been lifted from what I read in Acts), but I very much respect Messianic Jews who stick to their own traditions yet are also Christian....only have met one so far.
Yes, blood is banned in the Bible yet many Christian societies eat blood in one way or another based upon their Gentile cultural upbringing.
