"We aren't interested in doing that" != "too much work"
I'm done going back and forth with you on this. The answer is an unequivocal no, you wheedling will not make it yes, and quite frankly, browbeating us over this is having the opposite of the desired effect, unless you're looking for negative attention. Keep it up, and you'll get it.
Let me make this perfectly clear. The *volunteer* staff is not interested in babysitting members who lack the self-control to stay away when they have other pressing life needs. None of us volunteered for that, none of us wants to do it, and therefore, it isn't going to be done. It doesn't matter how badly Heywood wants it, it doesn't matter how little work Heywood thinks it would be.
There is literally nothing further to discuss. So exercise some of that self-discipline you claim to have and stop.
So basically you're saying that its not a bad idea, but because it is my idea it is non starter. Does that sum up your position?
No. I said no such thing.

I asked CD if that was his position. I didn't say that it was. If it isn't his position he has the option to correct my summation of what I believe his position to be. After all he keeps claiming the more I piss him off the less likely it becomes my suggestion won't be implemented. It looks to me that he doesn't like the suggestion not because it lacks merits but because I won't shut up when he tells me too.
EQ, You have the reading comprehension of a first grader.
CD can lock this thread if he really thinks this discussion has run it course.
Once again, I'll remind yiubto stop fucking telling us how to do our jobs. As a matter of policy, we do not make a habit of locking threads except under specific circumstances, none of which apply here.
Quit being an ass, Heywood.

I have not told you how to do your job. I said you could lock this thread....not that you should and you are remiss in your duties if you don't. Please stop misrepresenting what I am saying.
I was under the impression that when discussion become pointless, the mod team has the option of locking a thread. Is this not the case? Or do you feel there is still a point in carrying on with this discussion?

My reading comprehension is fine. My patience for dealing with your willfully obtuse nonsense is at an all time low; you were clearly making an insinuation, and simply pretending that you haven't when you're called on it, treating everyone reading as though they were five in the process, doesn't make it go away. It does, however, showcase the complete dishonesty with which you've conducted yourself on this board in every sentence you write.
It also highlights your complete idiocy, because in one sentence you claim you weren't saying what CD's position is, and then in the very next sentence you say that's what you believe his position to be; are you truly claiming that your beliefs don't reflect what you believe the world to be like? Or did we just get a little Freudian slip, and the first example of an actual honest response from you we've ever had?
Figures it'd be completely unintentional.
