Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are all in the same barrel.  There's no real difference between any of them in the way they relate toward non-believers.

It'll take an equally bloody religious war. We should wash our hands of it (outside of repairing our own damage, in the form of taking refugees who want no part of that bullshit) and let the chips fall where they may.

Unless an extremist religious group[IE;ISIS] gets there hands on weapons that actually pose imminent danger, people should stop worrying about religious fundamentalism as a possibility to completely destroy, or gain power over the world. I mean, if we are looking at it optimistically, technological advancements, and an increase in readily available knowledge combined with the fact that the non-religious have been increasing for years, and look as though it will only keep increasing, I don't think anyone should be concerned with one ideology ruling, or even taking over others. It would take a long string of unplanned bad decisions in a row, and regretful risings to power, along with many other domino effect-worst case scenario events to take place, in order for something like religious war, or one religions uprising to even take place.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

Stranger things have happened; Western civilization was set back twelve centuries thanks to the Visigoths, who are themselves now a footnote in history.

I think you can't wash your hands of it in the 21st Century. [insert "not all Muslims" disclaimer here] with the presence of Islam in the Western world now (especially Europe) this "religious war" is also happening on our own soil. Hundreds of European-born Muslims went to Syria to join ISIS, and as we've seen they're trying to come back to wreak havoc on our cities. It's not the 15th century anymore, where the Christian religious inquisition remained relatively isolated to Western Europe and Latin America because of the limited ability to travel. People can get around the globe in hours now, taking this "war" wherever they want to take it. While some areas of the world are relatively further away and safer than others, you're never completely safe from this movement.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."

RE: Muslims opinions on ISIS
I'm so bored of Islam now. Its pretty clear that as its holy book is written at the present moment it is not compatible with 21st century society. Can we just add afew more nice passages about acceptance and peace in blue crayon then talk about something else please?

Its been on the news ever since the world trade center and frankly I'm sick of it. The whole screaming "God is great" in that ridiculously high pitched voice was funny at first but now its just irritating.
Does anyone actually remember what kind of thing was on before then? Like I know the middle east got on there sometimes but it was nowhere near this much. Was any of it interesting?
I think the real tragedy of this which everyone is failing to recognize is that my viewing pleasure is diminished.

The only thing I'm more sick of than Islam at the moment is all the public figures falling over themselves not to offend Islam, and to pretend ISIS has no connection with Islam.

When in actuality ISIS follows Islam literally.

We seem to just love creating the nightmares that we just absolutely hate to deal with.

... We can wash our hands all we want... the slime of association will always be a part of us, if as but a footnote to the grime upon our wretched gooiness.
