Finely-tuned universe wanted: Intelligent Designers need not apply.

If God could create sustainable life in any type of universe, then our universe is nothing special and thus not finely-tuned.

If one is attempting to decide the probability that our universe contains fine tuning, it should be obvious that one needs to consider the constraints placed on parameter values for any particular universe and number of universes over which these parameters pertain.
We know neither.
Therefore, the correct interpretation for the seemingly exact settings for cosmic constants is:
We don't know.  (Theists are uncomfortable with this answer.)

In actuality, it could be a single infinite universe of entirely random (no correlation between adjacent events) material.
There would be arbitrarily large volumes of order in this random material entirely due to coincidence.
Needless to say, the weak anthropic principle requires that the universe we observe exists in one such volume.

It may not be possible to check out from Hilbert's Hotel California.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Or maybe that argument stems from the human trait that assigns meaning to meaningless data. They think we're special, but we're not in anyway significant or special. Also life as we know it couldn't exist in different cirumstances. And exactly how is the universe fine tuned for life when so much fucking space is wasted? In all of that enourmous space, and probably more than 99% will be untouched or even known by us "special" humans, there is only life in one single tiny spot that is so damn insignificant. Very fine tuned universe.

Apophenia - "Apophenia is the human tendency to perceive meaningful patterns within  data." (From wikipedia)

Yeah, it's finely tuned to sustain life. Except for the 99.99999% of it which isn't.
Other universes? What other universes? Outside of time and space? Of course!

Maybe God lives under your fridge? When was the last time anybody checked there?

Beat me to it. I was going to ask if he could aluminum it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
