I did already state the 16-25 in a post just recently Thena. We have the same problem in the United Kingdom with the Chav culture. Anyway, this is what I grew up with when I was brought up in Moss Side Manchester many moons ago. This is a fantastic documentary on the Gooch Gang which was a gang that ruled the roost in their area of Manchester with regards to drugs and murders. At the end of the day, anyone of any race can deal in drugs and kill people and thus, it will bring a negative effect on society and the community and innocent people get murdered because of it, and yes, I know it happens in the USA too. In fact, when I watched the testimonies of Ucal Chins family and Tyrone Gilberts family was moving and speaks volumes about life with drugs and how it destroys families. As I documented above thread the first slave under the law in the US was named John Punch, whose indenture was made permanent in 1640, 16 years before the Casor civil case. That makes Punch's owner Huw Gwyn the first documented legal slaveholder in the US. Then you've got the state of Massachusetts instituting the first law legalising slavery in the 13 colonies in 1641*, followed shortly afterwards by the other twelve. It's amazing that you can continue the lie that Johnson was the first slaveowner in America when slavery was established as legal at least fifteen years prior to his civil case, and frankly was legal earlier, due to the fact that under English law at the time, if you were convicted to life imprisonment you could be sold off as a permanent indentured servant (i.e. a slave).

And that's not even touching the Spanish colonies where their most catholic majesties owned slaves as far back as 1501, or even the native populations some of whom had slavery going back as historians can make out.

When I was growing up, my parents were unemployed for most of the time I was in secondary school where my friends had VCRs, televisions, games. Hard work did. My father grew up without a dad since he died in WWII, so he had to wear hand me downs to school. He had no education, and neither did my mother. Being poor teaches you things in life and not to take things for granted. I still have an iPhone 3g and it is 6 years old. I can afford any of the newer inventions if I want to but why, when I have my children to think about.

Being poor, intelligent and empathetic teaches you that very little of what you get in this world is down to you alone. No matter how clever you are, no matter how hard working, no matter how frugal, where you grow up, your support group (i.e. family and friends), the attitude of your country's government and it's financial ability to push that attitude count for far more in how well you work out than anything you'll ever do for yourself. If Bill Gates were born in Cambodia he'd be as poor as dirt, give a Cambodian street child the same advantages as Bill Gates had and he'd likely turn out a better person than Gates (though probably not as rich).

Only "thousands?" Are you really thah uninformed about real life? As for "kicking others", who are these "others", that you speak of? There are Asians, Indians and other minority groups who have had bad lives that would make the black poor seem rich. A Vietnamian born into poor family in Vietnam is considerably more poor than a black who is born poor in the United States? 

If I wanted to enjoy the riches of my labour, I would do what most people do in the United States, buy two of everything including having two smartphones, two laptops, two playstation 4s etc. However, I only have 1 smartphone from 2009/10. I donate more money to Oxfam than you have had hot dinners too.
