Why? Why search for truth? You think you already found it.
Yeah and the "corruptible man's knowledge" - you know the one that cures your illness and sends you to space, unlike religion that fails miserably in that despite claiming and promising the same
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

This is exactly the fault in your thinking. Since you can't be proven wrong, you take this as a positive thing. It must feel so cosy in your god bubble.

GC What do you think you're doing when you read magic book? Do you imagine that the authors of magic book were not fallible, corrupt men..... "teaching" you what they could not know?

I've found many truths and will always find more, for finite man truth is infinite. I have found the truth God revealed and I'm very glad I listened, this truth helps me every day of my life.

I've read books about illusions, not much of a magician sorry to say. The Bible on the other hand is a book about life and I can say with absolute certainty that I do not live my life through magic as so many here have to to get through each day. My life is real and full of living every day.

But every 'truth' to you is from the box labelled "God dun did it". So all you're really doing, if you're searching for anything at all, is seeking out things that reinforce what you already think you know. Or probably more accurately, rationalising whatever comes your way to fit those preconceptions.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Wrong through my Christian growth I've found thing I use to believe not true because God has shown me the truth of a thing wrongly believed.
