Anyone makes mental health jokes...

RE: Anyone makes mental health jokes...
MK -

I can understand your feelings on this matter, though I think many of us, myself included, have been concerned about your mental health. It can get carried to a level of insensitivity for sure. It's my opinion that once a person's condition is known, and their desire to be free of mocking and ridicule for it, that should be respected.

Personally, I find a certain amount of ignorance regarding my own affliction. Ignorance can be cured, except the willful kind.

Just my .02, for whatever it's worth.

I hope you're able to achieve and maintain a healthy mind.

Escitalopram (aka Cipralex or Lexapro) keeps me smiling. No shame there.

Good luck with that; I used to take Abilify (with Viibryd), and the lowest dosage did nothing for me, and the second-lowest dosage did this to me:

To be fair, I suppose that may have been more due to the Viibryd.

I'm currently taking Luvox and Amitryptiline (the latter mainly for stomach issues)

I take 25mg. It's potent.

Mentioning doctors, etc, subtly to mock the issue of my mental health, and I am not going to debate semantics.

My insanity has been my biggest evil, yet overcoming to many degrees and coping with it has been my greatest virtue.

Anyone makes any joke belittling any type of mental illness, will be on my ignore.

If you don't care, go ahead, do it.  But you will be on my ignore, I guarantee that.

This is madness.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

DAMN. I was taking the Abilify as an adjunct 10 mil, it seems, from the dosage graphics I found on the net. And it seems 25 mil is close to the deep end.

However, one strange thing: there doesn't seem to be a 25 mil Abilify pill. I take it you take two different dosages to add up to 25 mil; I do it with my Luvox (a 50 and a 25).

@MK- I would never belittle you for mental illness but I think you shouldn’t get so caught up on it. If you believe you’re mentally ill get whatever help you need to live your life as normally as possible.

There's a difference between attacking someone personally and joking about the subject of mental illness. If you can't tolerate the latter, the internet isn't a safe place to be.

I'm mentally ill too, I have severe depression and anxiety. I'm depressed about feeling so anxious, and anxious about feeling so depressed. There, that was a joke about mental illness. Humour can be used to make difficult subjects more bearable.
