Not sure how much brain power it takes to realize 'tuning' retaliatory trade actions to negatively affect blue states over the red ones might not be such a bad strategy for someone facing a re-election soon enough.

It was almost as if falling upwards would no longer qualify someone for the presidency. Oh well, those days are gone.

Which is a real shame, since we depend on the welfare state the reds are always telling us the blues engineered. Who needs income equality more than a guy who has to work an area the size of a small town to make ends meet?
