Really no different than a toddler defending their dad. If their dad is bigger than you, why would it need your help to defend it?

What theists are really subconsciously defending, isn't a factually provable being, what they are defending is their own ego. Nobody likes to think they got it wrong.

It makes no sense to claim "all powerful" only to get between it and someone who doesn't buy the logic. What would an allegedly all powerful being need with a marketing department or body guards?

Yup.

The founders were for freedom of religion, but all of them understood to do that, you did not conduct pulpit politics.

%75 of Americans are Christians. Almost all of Congress is. Just who is going to infringe on their rights? Persecution complex much?

How do you think this goes against the constitution? It’s goal seems to be safeguarding religious liberty protected by the constitution.

Constitutionally, it would be ok if every Religious and nonreligious group got equal representation.

I mean, do Christians have to worry that people will hate them if they tell the wrong person they're a Christian? So mind-numbingly stupid. What group is equally discriminated against in the US? Shall we create the White Male Liberty Task Force? How about the Hot Person Discrimination Agency? (HEPDA) Maybe the Married with Two Children Bigotry Defense Agency?

I believe that they are to guard religious liberty as per the constitution for everyone.   If you don't see a need for it, would seem to be another matter.

It's pork barrel spending. If it safeguarded against discrimination against minority groups, including Muslims, atheists, and agnostics, that would be fine.(even though those last two aren't religions) I mean Sessions tried to silence MLK and the civil rights movement. What do you think he's going to do?

Maybe you'll say the first two things I said aren't fair. But if you want to stop discrimination, you focus on the groups of which there is objective proof of discrimination.

Pork barrel /w red meat for the base..who need something...anything, before midterms.  The tax cut for rich fuckwads was a flop that no one wants to run on, the wall remains a fantasy, as ever, and the immigration policy lead to baby jails.

......b-b-b-b-b-b-butbutbut..they're "guarding religious liberty"...and right on que, we've got one of the usual suspects showing up to demonstrate that this hilarious contention is enough to make the flock drink from the poisoned well.

Christianists seem to think 'religious liberty' means they ought to not have to follow public accommodation laws when running a private business.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Oh, nonono..remember..every christer on the boards swore up and down they didn;t actually agree with that because they weren't filthy bigoted pieces of shit....even if they agree with the idea of a "task force" set up to seek precisely that..as an official federal arm of the ADF.

You know, whats wrong with that, right? Can't be wrong when you're doing the lords work, after all, lol. Wink
