A non-functional brain might not hallucinate, but who is to say the hallucinations didn't occur while the brain was still functional? Unless you have some kind of spectral stopwatch, you can't make that determination.

It would be a strange world we live in were hallucination an effect of a non-functional brain. Clearly, we have it all wrong.

According to the patients testimony, she was outside her body and able to observe the surgery and recount conversation between the staff, this is DURING the time the brain was not functioning as corroborated by the surgical staff.
