It'd be a great time for him to switch parties and turn lemons into lemonade!
Northam 2020. Make minstrels shows great again (and america...and other stuff too).
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Gotta admit that I'm tickled over the democrat's mess in Virginia, but this all appears to me to be part of the "liberal inquisition" that's been going on in the country. First, I see no reason for Northam or Herring to be asked to step down for their "black face" episodes in the 1980s. Why not look at their record of conduct since then to see if there is any evidence of racism during their careers. If there was I'm sure it would have been brought up by their opponents during the last campaign. Are we the same people we were 35 years ago? Heaven help me if I'm judged now by my actions during my 20s. Don't people grow and mature? As for Fairfax, I'll say the same thing I said about Judge Kavanaugh. Let him be shown to be guilty before you condemn him. Maybe he is guilty of sexual assault, but we can't just automatically believe his accusers. If that was the way could be, someone could get rid of any officeholder just by making an accusation of racism or sexual assault. I just read an article about some female TV personality of Indian descent who is being criticized for "cultural appropriation" for wearing cornrows. Give me a break! What are we going to do - accuse almost every black woman in the country for using hair straightener for "cultural appropriation"? People have lost their sense of fairness and common sense.
